Members of current or former staff listed on the Seaside Gothic Masthead are ineligible from entering.
The first person (or group of people as long as one person acts as spokesperson and sole recipient of any and all prizes, and is therefore responsible for dividing or distributing prize shares and does not hold Seaside Gothic liable for division or distribution of prizes) to successfully solve Treasure Hunt (the Winner) will win a unique item from Seaside Gothic which is not available for purchase (the Physical Prize), a lifetime print and digital subscription to Seaside Gothic along with all back issues published prior to the date of solving (the Subscription Prize), along with 50% of all gross income generated by sales of Treasure Hunt from initial sale and in perpetuity (the Monetary Prize). The Physical Prize will be dispatched to the Winner within 48 hours of Treasure Hunt being solved. The back issue portion of the Subscription Prize will be dispatched to the Winner within 48 hours of Treasure Hunt being solved. The digital subscription included in the Subscription Prize will be issued to the Winner within 48 hours of Treasure Hunt being solved and will continue for the lifetime of the Winner or the magazine, whichever is shorter. The print subscription included in the Subscription Prize will begin with the next issue of Seaside Gothic published following the date of solving and will continue quarterly for the lifetime of the Winner or the magazine, whichever is shorter. The Monetary Prize will be calculated within 24 hours of Treasure Hunt being solved and the standing value at that point will be issued to the Winner within 48 hours of a transfer method being agreed between the Winner and the Editor of Seaside Gothic. Future balance will then be issued to the Winner annually on the recurring date of the first payment in perpetuity based on sales using the same transfer method until such a point as the Winner updates the transfer method. Sales data for Treasure Hunt will be shared with the Winner annually upon request. Low or no sales will result in a smaller Monetary Prize. Once Treasure Hunt is solved it is likely that sales will reduce or stop. Proof of solving Treasure Hunt will be required from the Winner and is detailed in the final stage. Proof will be assessed by the Editor of Seaside Gothic. The Editor’s decision is final. If and when Treasure Hunt has been solved the puzzle will be reset to allow others to solve it and win the Subscription Prize, however the Physical Prize and the Monetary Prize will no longer be available.
Once Treasure Hunt is opened it no longer qualifies for a refund.
