Following years of development and planning, Seaside Gothic is proud to present two special items now available to purchase: The Totem and Treasure Hunt. These two intrinsically linked unique creations, which make the perfect gift for yourself or a loved one, have been crafted to be beautiful and substantial, filled with wonder and mystery.
The Totem
Billed as a singular newspaper event from Seaside Gothic, The Totem is packed full of creative nonfiction exploring the seaside, coastal folklore and history, and gothic articles, with contributions from Lucy Arnold, Martin Charlton, Zoe Davies, Kirsty Louise Farley, Emily Fletcher, Terry Holland, Anthony Levings, Jill McLaughlin, Carolyn Oulton, Sonia Overall, Ryszard Paszkowski, Seb Reilly, Shelley Thomas, Melissa Todd, and Alex Woodcock. Additionally, The Totem features puzzles including a series of clues leading to a discount code for Treasure Hunt, and a riddle that offers a lifetime digital subscription to Seaside Gothic to any who solve it. The Totem is available for £1, and it is free with all purchases of £10 or more (excluding shipping) from seasidegothic.com
Treasure Hunt
A logic puzzle, Treasure Hunt is exactly as it sounds. Like an escape room in a box, the elements of Treasure Hunt work together to offer a solution with real-world interaction. In other words, somewhere on the planet a treasure is buried, and this box is the start of the hunt. The winner will receive a one-off physical prize shipped to them upon solving the hunt, plus a lifetime print and digital subscription to the magazine including all back Issues, and 50% of all income generated by Treasure Hunt forever and in perpetuity. If and when the prize is won, the game will be reset so players can continue to enjoy it, however the prize is only available to the first to find it. Treasure Hunt retails for £1,000 however a discount code can be found by following clues in The Totem.
Both The Totem and Treasure Hunt are shipping immediately.
Seaside Gothic is, of course, a non-profit venture, so revenue from sales will be invested in paying contributors to the magazine and developing future opportunities, with the exception of 50% of Treasure Hunt income which will be held in trust for the winner. The pot is already growing, so if you want your chance to secure it, open the box.
